Intralot SA, the Athens-based developer and supplier of gaming and transaction processing systems, has won a contract to provide Croatian State Lottery operator Hrvatska Lutrija d.o.o with an online casino business.
The Greek firm secured the deal following an international tendering process and will now co-manage the operator’s new iCasino Project for the next four years on a shared-profit basis.
“We are very satisfied to be selected by the Croatian State Lottery as its strategic partner for the iCasino Project,” said Constantinos Antonopoulos, Chief Executive Officer for Intralot.
“This new project rewards our long-lasting commitment towards the Croatian State Lottery. We are ready to work hard in order to provide exciting iGaming experiences to Croatian players.”
Intralot stated that it now intends to invest in the hardware and software necessary to make a ‘broad portfolio’ of the casino games from the Croatian State Lottery available over the Internet via its Intralot Interactive subsidiary and in partnership with Microgaming. In particular, it declared that it will bring an ‘extensive assortment’ of table, slot, poker and multi-player bingo games to the iCasino Project utilising its B-On technology.
“The iCasino Project is a major strategic project for the current and future interactive operations of Hrvatska Lutrija,” said Vesna Bakran, Managing Director for Hrvatska Lutrija,
“For this reason, the selection of the Croatian State Lottery’s business partner has followed a well prepared and accomplished process, which has attracted the vanguard of industry vendors. The selection of Intralot has been the result of a detailed and thorough evaluation plan based of five main evaluation groups with 38 specific criteria.”
